Kindred is my final project for the Design Bachelors and my first project at the MFA program. Initially, it was thought to be an animated short therefore I wrote its script and developed the characters. However, during the MFA, I wanted to focus my study on visual storytelling and for that, I changed the media and started to develop a comic.
The story is about a girl called Erica that is judged and ostracized by her community because of the cruelty of her family during a past war, although she never met most of them. In her journey, she will learn about friendship, empathy, and connection.
